At a glance

  • Preprints are welcome and do not count as prior publication.
  • Authors may share any version, with no embargo.
  • Link the preprint to the published article after publication.

Journal of Educational Science and Development supports the open sharing of research before and after publication.

Preprints

  • Authors may post a preprint of their manuscript on a recognised preprint server (for example arXiv, SSRN, OSF Preprints, Research Square or a regional server) before or during submission. This does not count as prior publication.
  • Authors tell the editor about the preprint when they submit and give its DOI or link.
  • After publication, authors update the preprint with the article's DOI and a link to the published version.
  • For double-anonymous review, reviewers are asked not to search for the preprint, but the journal cannot guarantee anonymity once a preprint is public.

Versions authors may share

  • Submitted version (preprint): any time, on any platform.
  • Accepted version (after peer review, before typesetting): immediately on acceptance, with a note that it has been accepted by Journal of Educational Science and Development.
  • Published version: immediately on publication, under the article's licence, with a full citation and a link to the article.

Repositories

Authors may deposit any version in institutional, funder or subject repositories with no embargo. The journal's policy is also registered with policy registries such as Sherpa Romeo where applicable.
